"Nosferatu" is a horror film released in 1922 in Germany. Directed by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau, it is an adaptation of Bram Stoker's classic novel "Dracula," although due to the inability to obtain the rights to the novel, the names and certain plot points were changed. The film tells the story of a real estate agent named Hutter (played by Gustav von Wangenheim) who is sent to Transylvania to visit a wealthy client named Count Orlok (played by Max Schreck). Hutter soon realizes that the Count is actually a vampire who intends to spread his curse to the entire town of Wisborg. The film is notable for its use of shadow and chiaroscuro lighting techniques, which create a haunting and gothic atmosphere. Schreck's portrayal of Count Orlok, with his pointy ears, bald head, and elongated fingers, is also considered one of the most iconic portrayals of a vampire in cinema. Other notable actors in the film include Greta Schröder, Georg H. Schnell, Ruth Landshoff, Gustav Botz, Alexander Granach, and Wolfgang Heinz.
